Barefoot International was founded in 1980 by a family-run team of brothers. Mike Seipel, a barefooting legend, focused on setting records while his brother John Seipel took the reigns in manufacturing.

Quality has always been the primary focus at Barefoot International. Mike and John Seipel quickly learned that the best way to ensure a superior product was to develop and manufacture in-house instead of outsourcing.
